Link for the Day (October 13th, 2009): "They Don't Rate"

A panel held this past weekend at the Hamptons International Film Festival, which featured several members of the New York Film Critics Circle, has caused a bit of a stir. Details started to come out on Twitter, though a clearer picture emerged once Michael Tully of /Hammer to Nail posted this report. As Tully notes, one of the subjects of the panel's discussion (and not always in a positive light) was Spout editor Karina Longworth, who was inspired by the brouhaha to write this piece. Finally, indieWIRE editor Eugene Hernandez weighed in on the situation yesterday evening, with quotes from several of the parties involved. The above image was taken from Eugene's article.
