For the record: Alan Smithee replaced both Robert Totten and Don Siegel on Death of a Gunfighter (1969), the first film to use the fictional Smithee credit.
This last panel is as near as I’m ever gonna come to Warren Ellis’s “widescreen comics” movement ;-)
